May 9th: Today Is Our Wedding Anniversary

As an INTJ, I used to be an “expiration date predictor” in relationships.

But meeting you sent time into triple-speed mode, leaving my calculations useless.

Eight years of accumulated quarrels and endless shared giggles.

Now, the moment your lips twitch, I know whether to pass you a drink or a snack.

We’re like two nearly identical puzzle pieces—you, the sleepy INTP.

You fill the void of my overthinking rationality; I steady your endless questions.

Scars once mistaken as “normal”

finally reveal their true shape, waiting to heal under your gentle persistence.

In my interpretation of marriage:

when two souls fuse intensely or clash head-on, sparks fly.

Yet after every fight, we merge faster into one.

Love isn’t just joy—arguments, too, are revelations.

But you’re the only one I’d waste time arguing with.

A chinese female poets Li Qingzhao wrote, “This feeling cannot be dispelled—it lingers, from brow to heart.”

Turns out, it’s like this:

stealing the blanket at midnight, only to quietly cover you again afterward.

Year eight. Thank you—

for enduring me, for embracing all of me.
